A dainty, Victorian, flower form ring, whose four, round petals are natural opal cabochons. These fiery opal petals display flashes of pink, blue, yellow, violet, and absinth green. They are held in claw-like prongs, andarranged in a cruciform manner around a sparkling, little old mine cut diamond. Thisdelicate ring is beautifully hand-fabricated— its integral, half-round shank tapers gently from the shoulder toward the base.It is charming, and ephemeral, and the opal cabochons are holding up very well, especially considering their 120 years of age!Marked 14k for purity, and with a pictorial maker's mark (a pair of crossed arrows inside a rectangular cartouche.
