A rare and wonderful Georgian-era bracelet, whose dainty 22k gold links are each decorated with a pair of six-petaled flowers. These high-color, flower-form links encircle the wrist giving the impression of a golden garland. Our garland bracelet also features a miniatureheart-shaped locket— the front side of this tiny heart is ornately hand-engraved with baroque plumes, and set with a deep-red garnet. The locket's back side features a glazed compartment that holds a tightly-plaited lock of brown hair. This bracelet closes with a weighty barrel clasp, which is studded and decorated with wirework. Itwould almost certainly have been given as a gift to ones sweetheart.
This bracelet has been carefully XRF tested: the clasp is 18k gold; the heart locket is 20k gold; themajority of the bracelet (its floral links and connecting rings)is 22k gold.
